Ontario, August 18, 2018 – Ontario’s newest business is a family owned bakery and café.  It is owned by a mother and daughter team of Melissa (Lisa) and Ashley LaRue, respectively. Ashley is the baker of the operation while Melissa handles the business end.  Melissa said Ashley needs to start baking every day at 2 AM to be open by 9 AM to offer fresh baked goods daily.  She starts the preparation on Monday while the business is closed, for the baking early Tuesday morning. Ashley acquired the necessary skills through working in the bakery departments at Tops and Wegmans.  However, ”Ashley at the age of seven loved using her Easy Bake Oven as a child.  She has always had an interest in baking” said Melissa.  Ashley  learned some of her skills from her grandmother, who also helps today with the baking.   This is truly a three generation business with grandmother, mother, and daughter participating.  Divine Inspirations also receives help with the baking from Joey Calcagno who specializes in sticky buns. Divine Inspirations is located within the Ontario Plaza by Slocum Rd. and NYS Rt. 104, east of McDonalds.  They offer pastries, cakes, cupcakes, specialty breads such as banana, cheddar biscuits, and dinner rolls.  Other breads will soon be coming such as pretzel rolls.  Special orders will also be taken to help celebrate your event.  Call 585-748-5606 for more information or email divineinspirationsbakery.cafe@gmail.com.  Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday – Friday, and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday; closed Sunday and Monday.  Stop in today for a “divine’ treat for you or your family.

The ribbon cutting is a ceremony offered by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to new businesses, with membership.
