ONTARIO – November 10, 2017. Ontario Chamber members were happy to welcome a new business located within the Business Improvement District (BID). Kimmie’s Closet, located at 1998 Ridge Rd., Ontario, and owned by Kimberly Brown, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of their grand-opening. The retail store sells gently used and restored items such as dresses, prom dresses, wedding dresses, shoes, jeans, jewelry, accessories, and knick-knacks. Kim said “I have been collecting items forever!” She has scavenged other consignment shops for years and purchased many clothing items. Kim then washes, dry-cleans, presses or steams the garments and makes any needed repairs herself. She has about 75 different items in her store and is looking for additional items to increase inventory. She will purchase the items out right and does not operate by consignment.

Kimmie’s Closet is sponsoring a community project by giving away free prom dresses.   Kim said she never went to her prom and would like to help a girl “fulfill her dream of going to the prom.”   She has many to choose from in her collection. To qualify, the girl must have a B or above school average (85 or above) and can be from any school district. For more details about obtaining a free prom dress please call 585-851-1468. Hours: Monday through Saturday 11 am – 7 pm and Sunday 12 – 5 pm. E-mail:
