Mark Leenhouts, the owner and proprietor of Shea’s Steakhouse & Tavern, states that he has been and still remains a consultant for the food service industry. A career that began with Wegmans over 30 years ago. During the 12 years he spent with the Rochester supermarket chain he discovered his passion and love for the food business. Later he decided to open his own restaurant in downtown Rochester which was a success in its own right. After a while he was approached about opening a second restaurant, but refused. After giving it some more thought Leenhouts saw an opportunity to expand his business. And it’s a choice to this day that he is happy he made.
“The public really appreciates good food at a great value, and here at Shea’s that’s exactly what we strive to provide our patrons. We have many tavern specials plus delicious food and entertainment such as karaoke on Wednesday nights which has proven to be a huge success and everyone really enjoy themselves”.
We like to treat our customers more like family not only catering to the young, but the young at heart.
Tuesday nights children 12 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée. Thursday night every senior gets 20% off, and who can beat our prime rib dinner for $9.99 on Wednesday nights along with our Saturday night all you can eat prime rib buffet for $19.99? As we try to keep our menu fresh; we introduce new items seasonally. Catering to the needs of our customers with lighter fare in the summers and more warming comfort food for the colder seasons. We kick our summer off with our clam bake starting Memorial Day through Labor Day offering 3 dozen clams steamed to perfection for $9.99.
While speaking with Mr. Leenhouts he spoke of the feeling of being a part of the Ontario community for three wonderful years. Shea’s has been embraced by the community as a whole and a business giving us a real sense of belonging, but like with anything worthwhile we still have our loyal diehard customer base that doesn’t seem to mind the extra bit of a drive for fun, friends, family and great food. As a part of this growing neighborhood we like to give back as well as receive, which is why we do a lot for Wayne central schools and NAC theatre group just to name a few. We also play host to its many local benefits and charity events.
My staff and I here at Shea’s steakhouse hope to welcome and serve you for many years to come and are to be members of the Ontario community of which we are proud to be part of.
