Vessels used for brewing beer at K2 Brewery
ONTARIO.NY – June 13, 2024. The Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Inc. was treated to a tour of K2 Bros. Brewery located at 4320 Canandaigua Road in the Town of Walworth. K2 has been open since January, 2024 in Wayne County and is owned by Kyle and Bradley Kennedy.
Our host, Brad Kennedy, was our tour guide along with Adam Cormack. The tour included a view of the large vessels used for beer and water and the machinery used for the mechanics of packaging the beer into pressurized cans. The brewing takes place in the former gymnasium of the school which accommodated the large height of the brewing vessels. The gymnasium floor was completely replaced with concrete to allow for installation of pipes and a tilt in the floor for drainage. The former cafetorium is now the taproom and restaurant area. K2 purchases hops from another local business, Cobblestone Hops owned by Cheryl Wygal located in Ontario, NY.
K2 Brewery is located on 42 acres and has big plans for expansion. The goal is to make it an adult destination playground and restaurant. They are hoping to attract events as weddings and rehearsal dinners; retirement and anniversary celebrations, birthday parties; corporate team building events and more. They have private party rooms available for your planned event. Future plans include turning some of the classrooms into Airbnb’s making it a one stop shop for weddings or other celebrations giving guests a place to stay overnight. The facility shares a property line with Greystone Golf course and may add athletic fields. They plan to have rentable gaming space with a pay to play program for corn hole, duck pin bowling; and more
K2 employs between 75-80 people between the Walworth facility and the site at 1221 Empire Blvd. Hours for K2 in Walworth are: Monday – Closed; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 12 pm to 10 pm; Friday and Saturday – 12 pm to 11 pm; Sunday – 10 am to 5 pm.
