Set on 50 acres of gorgeous wooded private property, the Lodge at Shadow Hill is run by Dan & Gretchen (pictured) Milke, a local Ontario couple committed to creating a stunning space for guests across Western, NY and beyond.
While primarily used for weddings, the venue is also an excellent choice for guests looking to celebrate a family reunion, birthday, anniversary, or corporate event. The Lodge at Shadow Hill is the private, picturesque venue you’ve been looking for.
The 4,400 square foot timber-framed Main Lodge features an extra 1,000 square feet of deck and an adjoining firepit area and can accommodate up to 192 guests. A state-of-the-art audio-visual system and high-tech lighting system ensure the perfect ambiance throughout your event.
Also on the property is a 1,200-square-foot post-and-beam Sugar House Lodge which includes a kitchen and is the perfect place to relax and prepare for your special day, or to rent on its own for more intimate celebrations and events. Both venues include fully controllable heating, cooling, and ventilation.
Make sure to visit them on the weekends during the month of March for their Maple Syrup Festival! A great event for all ages, visitors can sample the largest variety of maple products in the region, walk the trails through the sugarbush to see how sap is collected, and learn how maple syrup is made!

Both new and established businesses are recognized by the Business of the Month, in its 24th year in 2024. A yard sign with customized rider provides community recognition along with an announcement in local news media, on the web @ https://ontarionychamber.org/, in its bi-monthly newsletter, and on the business development lobby display at the Ontario Town Hall/Public Library @ 1850 Ridge Road. Additional recognition includes a photo/feature plaque for the business and an introduction at the annual awards banquet in September.
