Ontario Chamber Is Ready To Welcome New Aldi Store

Proposed New Aldi Store in Ontario, NY 14519

April 11, 2025 – Ontario -Donna Burolla, President of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, said “The Ontario Chamber is excited to welcome the new Aldi store to our local business community and looks forward to assisting in coordinating a groundbreaking ceremony as well as a ribbon cutting when the store is completed.” In a phone interview with Angela Shakur, Director of Real Estate for Aldi, Ms. Shakur commented that the typical Aldi’s store hires around 15-20 employees and has an estimated construction timeline in Ontario by the end of 2025.

Aldi’s supports local communities and nonprofit organizations that promote children’s health and wellness and address food insecurity.  Contributions include providing gift cards to local nonprofits, enabling them to cover food costs for after-school and out-of-school programs, as well as supporting food banks and pantries.

The Town of Ontario Planning Board granted site plan approval on Feb. 11, 2025 for a 20,264 square foot Aldi’s store located at 1903 NYS Rt. 104.  The store is located on the north side of NYS Rt. 104, east of the Fastrac gas station and convenience store mini plaza (1933 Rt. 104).  Access for the new store will use an existing shared entrance with Fastrac from NYS Rt. 104 and install a new drive behind the Fastrac facility from Knickerbocker Road.
