The Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is pleased to announce that The Bread Box Art Studio is the chosen business for Business of the Month recognition during the month of July, 2023. The art studio is located at 1983 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY within the town of Ontario’s Business Improvement District and is owned by Dawn Butler. Dawn said she previously lived in a mobile home and at that time was creating miniatures. She felt like she was working in a bread box; hence the name, “The Bread Box Art Studio.”
Currently, the art studio offers ceramics, painting, pottery, sewing and textile art, beading and jewelry making and many other crafts. Art is offered to adults and kids of all ages. Available are classes and projects with take home art kits, in-studio art and special events as Dino Days, hosting of birthday parties, guest artists’ lectures, and book readings. Dawn also provides art instruction for people with special needs. She has a history of working with children from the Mary Cariola Center and Veterans. She began the Veterans outreach luncheon held once a month at the local Masonic Lodge #416 in Ontario.
